Centrestone Urban Developments Inc
Centrestone Urban Developments is a burgeoning development company that has been steadily growing their portfolio throughout Toronto and Scarborough. For over 12 years they’ve been forging strong business partnerships, which in turn have allowed them to acquire hotly-coveted properties in key locations across the city.
A great example of this is 383 Sorauren Avenue, a contemporary loft project in the west end that Centrestone Urban Development was a key player in developing. The 10-storey boutique building was hailed for being a fresh approach to the traditional warehouse conversion popular throughout the immediate area.
Centrestone harnessed the expertise of visionary architectural firm ArchitectsAlliance and the result was a building with contemporary lines and warm brick features that compliments the trendy, formerly-industrial neighbourhood it occupies. With thoughtful and unique outdoor spaces for every unit, the building exemplifies the best of both worlds in urban living. Truly embracing the 21st century, these contemporary-minded developers snagged the 2014 Best Social Media Campaign for 383 Sorauren, awarded by BILD, an organization that recognizes the best of the GTA’s building and developing industry.
They were also instrumental in the development of the Liberty Market Building, an office and retail project in the trendy Liberty Village neighbourhood. Both modern and functional, the building encapsulates the industrial spirit of the area while offering top-notch space for a variety of clients.
Centrestone Urban Developments is helmed by president Martin Nero, who is also the president of icon1, a commercial real estate brokerage. With 20 years in the industry, Nero brings a diverse skill set to his development firm, including strong industry partnerships, a knack for creative deal structuring and a passion for livable, sustainable communities.
One of the firm’s up-and-coming projects is a sleek 19-storey condominium at 149 Bathurst Street. Situated in a vibrant pocket between Queen Street West and King Street West, the building features a wide range of layouts, retail space at street level, and a somewhat unique feature: 23 units are allocated as barrier free, designed to accommodate homeowners or tenants with physical restrictions.
With a series of townhome developments in the works as well, this company’s projects span the entire range of real estate. We look forward to seeing how they continue to contribute to the GTA’s booming housing market.
