Knightstone Capital Management
Knightstone Capital Management focus is on creating wealth through wise and opportunistic investments. They have proven capable of diversity as they have taken on a wide set of property types. Part of the reason for their success has to be attributed to their leader David Lehberg who has extensive experience in the real estate industry. They are now entering the condo market and are looking to become a major player in Toronto.
This developer has a diverse portfolio that includes commercial, residential, and academic assets. They also take responsibility for acquisition, development, and asset management.
They are responsible for the King’s Crossing commercial development which lies in the nexus of Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal - three of Canada’s most important cities. This has proven to be monumentally successful as it has become the go to resting stop for over 100,000 travellers travelling in between these cities every day. In academia, they are responsible for building the Campus One and Parkside Student Residences. They are also responsible for building the Centennial Place & Culinary Arts Centre.
David Lehberg in the founder, CEO, and President of Knightstone Capital Management. David started his real estate tenure in 1987, and he has been working in the industry since, curating an unequalled level of experience. He is a very hands on leader and he oversees many of the company’s endeavours including commercial real estate acquisition, identifying and structuring opportunities, development of professional and strategic alliances, executive management, asset management and investor relations.
He founded his own company in 2001 when he developed an interest in bringing his own personal style to the real estate development world. It turned out that his culmination of experience was best suited to a boutique style of developing, and once he found his niche he was able to lead his company to tremendous success. David has always been committed to giving back to the community and has been the Co-Chair of the National Advisory Committee for Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Awareness at Canadian Blood Services, Corporate Chair for Blood Donation for Toronto, National Co Chair ‘For All Canadians’ public Cord Blood Bank Campaign at Canadian Blood Services, and a Board Member the Writers Trust and sponsor of the Matt Cohen Award ‘In Celebration of a Writing Life.’
David and his development company are now taking their talents to building residential high-rises in Toronto. The first will be The Upper House which will bring boutique condos to one of Toronto’s most sought after neighbourhoods.
Located in the North East of Toronto’s downtown, residents will be able to enjoy a safe neighbourhood while also only being minutes away from the downtown core. It will also offer stupendous amenities like a pet spa, party room, concierge, roof terrace, and fitness centre. Just west of The Upper House will be their next development called Whitehaus Condos. These elegant condos will place future homeowners in the lap of luxury as they will be able to enjoy a ping pong lounge, event kitchen, bar, lounge, artist studio, and fitness centre.
Upon examination of their portfolio, it’s easy to see that Knightstone Capital Management is an incredibly versatile and capable real estate developer. Their experience in building student housing will certainly help in their initial foray into the residential condo market. They are led by the stewardship of their President and CEO David Lehberg who has acquired the experience and expertise that have proven to be indispensable. Their first two projects are impressive and are sure to be the talk of the town. Moving forward, we’re confident that this developer will make a huge impact in this city, and will likely do their part in drawing the landscape of its skyline.
