“We're trying to prove and trying to show that we are here and we love to do this and this is a viable option for young girls. If they decide that this is the path they want to pursue, then get in it and do it,” said Larjani, who revealed that she was confronted with challenges due to her gender.

“There aren’t many entrepreneurial women coming into the industry on their own. No one took me seriously until I bought my first piece of land,” said Larjani. “We need to give women positive role models and prove that a career in development is a viable path.

“It’s incumbent upon all of us to change this narrative.”

In addition to serving as a wake-up call for gender equality, the all-women development team also hope to provide a female perspective that has been sorely lacking in the home building industry. Everything from. street level design to unit layouts that will be designed from a woman’s point of view in order to accommodate the specific needs of women.
