When asked why he got into real estate, the short answer is that his Mother played a major role in encouraging him to get into the industry. The longer, more detailed answer is that he saw an opportunity to turn his experience of working at TD Canada Trust and Burnac into a more personalized service by becoming a Realtor.
Gill takes great personal and professional pride in providing real estate advice because as an investor himself, he realizes that everyone’s economic situation is unique. Prior to getting into real estate, he also worked in investing alongside US syndicates and multi-family properties where he learned the notion of real estate always equalling to a great return is a large misconception. He believes that there is a science to smart investing which consists of time, location and future projection revolving around real assets and financial aspects. With a deep understanding of buying and investing in real estate, Gill also believes that not all sales agents are the same, especially because he knows that agents provide different value based off of experience and access.
When Gill isn’t talking to clients and building relationships within the industry, you can find him working out, reading and of course, eating Mom’s cooking. Lastly, when asked what the best piece of real estate advice he’s ever received was, he answered, “ Always do your homework because you can miss out on an opportunity”. And his favourite part of the job? “I’m happy when my relationships provide a return that makes the purchaser happy”.
