Location & Neighbourhood
Winona is a beautiful community set on the southern shores of Lake Ontario. It is officially a part of the City of Hamilton. It may be best known for its annual peach festival. It is about a 75 minute-long drive from downtown Toronto.
Winona contains many local amenities that make life convenient for locals. A Costco and its pharmacy are located just across the QEW to the south of the development. Further south, residents can find the Winona Community Centre.
Using the Queen Elizabeth Way, locals can quickly reach local destinations by car. Downtown Grimsby is a 10-minute drive to the east while downtown Hamilton is a 23-minute drive to the west.
Peachy Towns is close to the Stoney Creek Campus of Mohawk College. In just 9 minutes, locals can access the vicinity’s only post-secondary institution.
This location is full of parks that take advantage of the surrounding environment. These include:
- John Wilson Park
- Winona Park
- The 80-hectare Fifty Point Conservation Area
The Confederation GO Station is set to open in 2021. This future station is located 12 minutes away from the development by car. It will allow commutes to make quick travels to downtown Toronto.
But that’s not all. Other proposals suggest the Lakeshore GO line will continue to expand eastward. This could signify a new stop in Grimsby. No details have been confirmed so far.
And yet, one potential station location is at Casablanca Boulevard. This is located just 7 minutes away from Peachy Towns. This signifies that the future may bring new developments to this promising area.
