A Master-Planned Community By The Water

Bayside Toronto is a vibrant, mixed-use master-planned luxury waterfront community part of the Waterfront Toronto Revitalization Act. It is situated on a 13 acre site along Toronto’s water's edge between Parliament Street to the east, Lower Sherbourne Street to the west and south of Queens Quay. This is the largest such initiative currently underway along the the shores of Lake Ontario.

The Bayside community will possess 6 mid to high-rise residential towers. Presently phase one, the Aqualina is a 12 storey condo with 362 spacious dwellings, two of which are in the pre-construction stages and are aptly named Aquabella at Bayside, which is a boutique luxury condo that will stand 12 storeys with 173 stunning suites. Aquavista will also rise 12 storeys with 231 units, in addition to two office buildings called Queens Quay Place I and II, that will also be housed nearby, providing daytime activity to the area, a tree-covered 'Water's Edge Promenade', a neighbourhood green space known as 'Aitken Place Park' and lots of shops and eating places along a landscaped U-formed main street, bringing approximately 1,800 new homes to this emerging district. It will also encompass 190,000 square metres of residential, employment, cultural and commercial spaces.

It'll be a far cry from the post-industrial landscape that once monopolized much of its expanse. The project will create both a new waterfront destination as well as a community fully integrated, mixed-use neighbouhood for the thousands who will work, live and play in the area.

Commuting is made easy by using the TTC. Buses run along Parliament Street, which bridges you to the Castlefrank subway station and the Sherbourne bus connects you to Sherbourne subway station, in addition to the Queen Quay streetcar that leads you to the main central hub, Union Station. For motorists, on ramps to the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway are essential arteries that are easily accessible. Another alternative is to use Lakeshore Boulevard.

Transit will be adjusted in the future years, in order to accommodate the population surge in the area. There are plans to develop a light rail line along the Queens Quay stretch, which will extend to Parliament Street.
