A Shopping Centre, Redeveloped

This is a new redevelopment with nine mid to high-rise residential towers that will be developed in five phases.

Woodside Square Mall is a new master-planned community project by WSIM Group  in Scarborough. This pre-construction development will be built at 1571 Sandhurst Circle, the north-west corner of Finch Avenue East and McCowan Road in the Agincourt neighbourhood.

This proposal calls for a thriving mixed-use community with modern residential towers ranging from 12 to 38-storeys that will sit on 9-acres of land. The first phase of this development will be built on the south-west corner of the complex and will consist of two mixed-use 23-storey towers that will be connected by a 6-storey podium.

These towers will be directly across from LCBO and Shoppers Drug Mart located in the Woodside Square Mall. The second floor of the podium will hold over 20,000 square-feet of office space. Phase 2 and 3 will sit in an L-shape on the south and south-east corner of the complex. All of the towers in these phases will be connected by 6-storey podiums. These towers will consist of 30-storey and 36-storey towers. While the towers in Phase 3 will reach 26 and 38-storeys high.

The northern portion of the development will be a part of Phase 4 and 5 and will consist of three mixed-use, mid-rise buildings ranging from 12 to 14-storeys high. In total, between all nine towers, there will be 2,469 residential units that will range from one bedroom to three bedroom plus den units.

Throughout the entire complex, there will be over 44,000 square-feet of retail space, over 68,000 square-feet of office space and 3,834 parking spaces. The towers in this complex will have their own modern, architectural design with common design elements between each building to maintain consistency throughout the complex.

Designed in the hands of Graziani and Corazza Architects, the buildings will have a mix of ivory panelling and light grey stone with many glass elements including large windows and glass balconies.

The ground floor of this complex will be thriving with vibrant green spaces including beautifully landscaped gardens and a courtyard. There will be pedestrian-friendly streets lined with large green trees and publicly accessible and privately owned parks that will incorporate trees, bench seating, a fountain and water elements.

While the rest of the newly developed streets will be lined with retail stores, restaurants and services, where future residents can enjoy walking through the vibrant streets of this complex. Additionally, future residents will have quick access to the Woodside Square Shopping Mall that will add to the amount of urban amenities in this area. In short, this complex will become its own community where residents and visitors alike could gather in a newly transformed promenade.

Urban Amenities Just A Quick Walk Away

Woodside Square Mall is a vibrant indoor shopping centre located in Scarborough’s Agincourt neighbourhood. There are over 90 retail stores and services in this mall, anchored by some major retailers including FoodBasics, Shoppers Drug Mart, LCBO and Woodside Square Cinemas. This shopping centre also offers many services including eateries, home furnishing stores, beauty salons, medical services, financial services and wireless services.

Residents that will soon reside in this master-planned community will have a plethora of urban amenities just a quick walk away, making this complex a place where future residents can live, work and play.

This area also makes for a great family-friendly community with many schools within the mall’s vicinity. Some of the schools close by include Albert Campbell Collegiate Institute, Francis Libermann Catholic Highschool, Brimwood Boulevard Junior Public School and Agincourt Learning. The University of Toronto - Scarborough Campus is also just a 15 minute drive away.

Additionally, the Toronto Public Library is located in the Woodside Square Mall complex.
