Earlscourt is a quaint little neighbourhood in the City of Toronto. It is bounded by St. Clair Ave W and Davenport Rd to the south, Dufferin St to the east, Rogers Rd to the north and Old Weston Rd to the west.

This area is known for its rich history, classic homes, trendy streets, green space and its abundance of shops. For many years, this neighbourhood was known as a predominantly Italian community however, in recent years it has changed to a more ethnic mix of residents. Earlscourt is located beside many well-known neighbourhoods including the Stockyards District, St. Clair West Village, the Junction and Eglinton West.

This area is known for its upscale shopping with the Corso Italia Shopping district along St. Clair Avenue West. This street has a vibrant atmosphere with many shops, trendy restaurants, local cafes and quaint bistros. Plus, with its neighbouring community the Stockyards District just up the streets, residents can quickly access the Stock Yards Village mall that offers more shopping experiences including well-known stores, fitness centres and services.

Despite the incredible shopping options nearby, Earlscourt is known for its abundance of green space and outdoor recreational facilities. Earlscourt Park is located within this neighbourhood, this is a 36-acre park and one of Toronto’s busiest parks. It includes multiple tennis courts, soccer fields, a baseball diamond, an outdoor skating rink, an off leash dog park and walking trails. This area is most commonly occupied by families that enjoy the quiet nature of this community. There is so much history that can be found in the distinct architecture that dates back to the early 1900s.

The incredible mix of old and new architectural styles complement each other and gives this neighbourhood its unique character.

This neighbourhood is the perfect place for families to establish their roots. It is considered a quiet and safe suburban neighbourhood, surrounded by schools, parks and great urban amenities. However, residents here can reach Downtown Toronto in just 15 minutes by both car and train. As for transit, the St. Clair West streetcar will take passengers to the St. Clair Station just east of this neighbourhood. This station runs on the Yonge-University subway line, taking commuters to Union Station in less than 20 minutes. On Davenport Road, the south-end of this neighbourhood offers bus service as well.

However, the major mode of public transportation in this neighbourhood is the St. Clair West streetcar line that runs through this area every 15 minutes or less. Drivers are also in luck as they are able to reach the downtown core within minutes and can reach the Allen Expressway in just 10 minutes.
