Yonge and Finch Intersection

Yonge and Finch Intersection acts as the eponymous anchor for the surrounding neighbourhood. It’s regarded as an incredibly affluent area with the average homes sales in the region going for well over one million dollars.

This junction is immediately surrounded by an abundance of stores, services, and restaurants, which shouldn’t be surprising considering its near perfect Walk Score. Connected By Transit And Roads

This intersection has a Walkscore of 93/100 and a Transit Score of 100/100. The excellent Walkscore indicates that you’re able to take care of all your daily errands without the use of a car. The high transit score can be explained by the presence of Finch Station on this corner. This station connects to the Yonge/ University line, and it is capable of taking passengers to Union Station in 30 minutes. Finch Station is also a large bus depot, meaning there is plenty of local transit in the area.

This is also a great place to live for people who commute by driving. Downtown Toronto is less than thirty minutes away thanks to the adjacent of the Ontario 401 Expressway. This expressway also connects to the Don Valley Parkway, so the entire city is at your fingertips. You can also reach Scarborough in less than 20 minutes and Mississauga in 30 minutes.

An Opportunity To Invest In An Up-And-Coming Neighbourhood

Being a more residential area, there are plenty of activities around the area. A bowling alley is located north of here, and there are also many local parks in the neighbourhood, the most notable being G Ross Lord Park. This expansive green space offers everything you’d ever need in a park. It is shrouded with with dense woodlands that are loaded with walking and bike trails. The middle of this park is a wide open space that is outfitted with a dog off-leash area, firepit, riding stable, picnic sites, ponds, sports fields, and cricket pitches. You can do everything here.

The surrounding neighbourhood is mostly residential, which contrasts with the North York City Centre that’s only one subway stop south of here. As rents in Downtown Toronto continue to rise, many companies are moving their head offices beyond the traditional Toronto borders. This makes this intersection a great option for those who are looking for somewhere close to work, and developers are taking notice with numerous condo projects springing up in the area.

At one time this intersection was considered on the fringes of the GTA, but as businesses and corporations continue to expand north, this junction is increasingly in the spotlight. It is outfitted with amazing local amenities, and its public transit is among the best in the city. More and more condos are cropping up all around here, and with the continuing development of the northern parts of the GTA, this is an opportunity to invest in an up and coming neighbourhood.
