5 Developments To Get Excited For Around Hurontario LRT

The Eglinton Crosstown LRT is an exciting prospect because it’s catalyzing development across the Eglinton corridor in Midtown Toronto, and it’s creating tons of opportunities for investors. The only problem is — the secret is out! Many developers and investors know about the Crosstown, so the prices have already reached levels comparable to the downtown core.

The good news is there are multiple transit lines being constructed throughout Southern Ontario, and the savvy investor can take advantage of numerous catalyzing projects throughout different communities. One of the most exciting developments in the pipeline is the Hurontario LRT. Most of this light rail system cuts along Hurontario St. in Mississauga, but it does more than that. It also ties the city together with its northern neighbour, Brampton.

One of the reasons Hurontario was chosen for the city’s train line is because the bus route that currently serves the street is the busiest in the entire GTA. The LRT will stretch from Brampton Gateway Terminal at the intersection of Hurontario and Steeles, and it will travel south all the way to the shores of Lake Ontario at Port Credit. Upon completion in 2022, it will have 22 stations, which will mean plenty of future development in Mississauga.

There are already a few projects that are taking advantage of the Hurontario LRT. Here are our favourites:
