Location & Neighbourhood

This development is situated in a great location, marking the entrance to one of the city’s most popular downtown neighbourhoods, King West Village. Popular with artists, young professionals and executives, a quick stroll around the self-sufficient enclave makes it obvious why. It scores a 91 on its Walk Score and a perfect 100 on its Transit Score.

The area’s strong industrial roots can still be seen among many of the former brick warehouses and the authentic cobblestone walkways running through the main commercial building. Most of these warehouses have been converted into loft apartments, coffee bars, restaurants and high-end retail stores. These historic buildings nestle against contemporary condominium towers, giving the are a style that’s unique to the neighbourhood.

There’s a heavy art and design influence in the area, yet many media and technology-based companies have started opening up shop here, as well. The district’s Business Improvement Association now serves 600 companies and 10,000 employees.

King West Village has the advantage of being completely self-sustained, with almost every urban convenience - from banks, to boutiques, to salons and supermarkets – within walking distance. Yet the downtown core is just a short walk or streetcar away, as are both the Entertainment and Financial Districts. You’re also just minutes to Queen West, named by Vogue Magazine as the world’s second hippest district.

Craving the beach? Head a few blocks south to the harbor of Lake Ontario, a great place to watch the sailboats or stroll along the sunny footpath, which takes you right downtown.
